We just wanted to thank all of you that came out to meet us Saturday at the Liberty High School Arts & Craft Show. It was a great pleasure meeting you, and we want thank all of you that are interested in our charity event Bowl For A Cure. We also would like to thank the vendors we met. Check back for more details about where we will be next.

We are pleased to announce Bowl For A Cure. In a world where faith often falls short of our expectation it is a wonderful pleasure for us as ministers to share God's love by supporting those that are living life with cancer. We are holding this fund raising event for Making Memories Breast Cancer Foundation. Their mission is to grant wishes to patients with stage 4 breast cancer, and to educate the public about this horrible disease. Breast cancer is a disease that not only attacks women, but men too.  We are honored to sponsor this event in December. If you would like more information click on our special events page.

Organist 10/26/2009

We do have a person that we have worked with in the past that is an organist if you would like to have one for your wedding. In fact we just worked together this past weekend, and she is exceptional. She doesn't travel very far from Poland, Ohio. I believe she won't go farther that 50 miles. I have worked with her at St. James Meeting House in Boardman. Just remind us at your consultation that you would like to have an organist at your wedding, and we will be sure to contact her for you.

The Unity Sand Ceremony has become popular element. In years past it has been the Unity Candle Ceremony, but now there are many other options. We have used a rose ceremony, which most people think of the rose gift to the bride and grooms mother when I mention this. This rose ceremony is a little different in that it is between the bride and groom after the ring exchange. I have even heard of a chocolate ceremony, and a honey ceremony this year. The Unity Sand Ceremony is popular for couples that are getting remarried, and bringing children from a previous marriage into their new family. Alot of times they would like to include the children in the ceremony, which I am in favor of by the way. Some couples have young children, and the Unity Sand ceremony is a safe alternative. Not to mention that the vase becomes a keepsake item not only for the bride and groom, but the entire family. This is a good element to add to an outdoor wedding, because you don't have to worry about the wind. The Unity Candle can be difficult to work with outdoors, because there is always the chance of the candle being blown out by the wind.

Just a word of caution. We do still have several outdoor weddings booked, and I just wanted to remind everyone to plan ahead. The weather here in Ohio has turned to it's true Autumn colors of cold, drab, and wet. Please make sure you have an alternative site for your wedding. Now that we are in Fall remember it is not only finding shelter from the rain like in the summer, but a place that will be warm for your guest.

09/30/2009 - "Officiant or Minister Apparel"

What is the appropriate attire for a minister or wedding officiant? We have been asked this question in the past, and I would like to address it with the following answers. We will wear what you would like us to wear. We can dress with a suit, suit with a stole, ministers robe, ministers robe with a stole, or whatever maybe be appropriate if your having a theme wedding. It depends on your wedding style, and what you are looking for from your officiant. Tradtionally the correct colors for clergy apparel is white or black at weddings. White is worn for funerals, weddings, 50 days of easter, or during the 12 days of Christmas. This can be stoles or robes. Purple is worn during lent or advent. Green can be worn before Ash Wednesday, and after Pentecost Sunday.
