09/30/2009 - "Officiant or Minister Apparel" What is the appropriate attire for a minister or wedding officiant? We have been asked this question in the past, and I would like to address it with the following answers. We will wear what you would like us to wear. We can dress with a suit, suit with a stole, ministers robe, ministers robe with a stole, or whatever maybe be appropriate if your having a theme wedding. It depends on your wedding style, and what you are looking for from your officiant. Tradtionally the correct colors for clergy apparel is white or black at weddings. White is worn for funerals, weddings, 50 days of easter, or during the 12 days of Christmas. This can be stoles or robes. Purple is worn during lent or advent. Green can be worn before Ash Wednesday, and after Pentecost Sunday. Add Comment Friendly reminders 09/30/2009
8/17/09 "Friendly Reminders" Don't for get to get your marriage license! You can get it a week ahead, unless you are getting a Mahoning County license. Then please go at least 2 weeks before your ceremony due to the 5 day waiting period. All licenses in Ohio are good for 60 days from the date of issue. Don't forget they accept only cash, and make sure you bring all the proper documentation. ie...drivers license, birth certificate, divorce degree if married before. If you are planning an outdoor wedding, please make the necessary arrangements for inclement weather. We have been experiencing an unseasonably cold and wet summer. 07/23/2009 - "Outdoor Weddings" Outdoor Wedding have become extremely popular over the last few years, and we are always glad to officiate these ceremonies. They can be extremely beautiful. We would like to warn all of our clients and prospective clients to be prepared for foul weather. This year we have seen lower than normal temperatures, and excessive rain here in Ohio. Please be prepared with an alternative site for your wedding, in case of inclement weather on your wedding day. We have removed the last names as to protect our clients privacy, but at your free consulation you will be able to see the actual letters if you choose. We just received this one yesterday for a wedding that took place 7/18/09 "Rev. Robert DeZee took every ounce of nervousness that I had and transformed it into pure excitement.
